Will Colin Powell endorse Obama? Many think he will but why? It is well known that colin powel was at odds with president bush over the war in iraq but I think it’s a bit of a leap to think that colin powell endorses obama. He is supposed to make an important announcement soon, probably tomorrow. Maybe folks think that just because he is black he will vote for obama? It’s hard to imagine someone who used to work that closely with the current administration would switch sides like that.
Not that switching sides is completely out of the question but obama is a far, far left guy!! I would be pretty surprised if colin powell endorses obama’s left wing craziness. I think obama has strange ideas for this country being the most liberal senator in the senate. The facts are though that %95 of blacks are voting for obama so why would colin powell be any different?
Well I think he is different. He’s an intelligent guy who I think can make up his mind based on objective reasoning. If colin powell endorses obama it will be kind of a big deal but not a huge surprize i don’t think. I think this election is going to serve as a good barometer of where racism stands in this country. It is highly unlikely in any event that %95 of any group could possibly think exactly the same way. What I’m getting at is that the reason %95 of all blacks will vote for obama is because he’s black. Plain and simple. The fact that he may or may not be qualified has nothing to do with it. This is just racism in it’s most insidious form.
I mean could it really be that %95 percent of all black people really agree with obama’s philosophy of socialist reform? Or is it that they are just voting for the black guy? Either way it doesn’t matter much. I’m sure there are many who will vote for mccain just because he is the white guy. Time will tell us if colin powell endorses obama or not.
